Property - Local Facilities

Casa Vaya Vista is located in the traditional Lecrin Valley village of Pinos del Valle, midway between Granada and the Costa Tropical. The house is set among orange and lemon orchards in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada - a great base for exploring the area and for a variety of activities year round. It has been recently renovated and has a private pool, terraces,a barbecue area and ample seating around the terrace to enjoy 180 degree views of the mountains.

The house has 3 bedrooms and 3 shower rooms. It has a well-equipped modern kitchen with a dishwasher and an adjoining terrace, perfect for dining and enjoying the spectacular views of the mountains.

There is an open plan lounge and dining area with a wood burner (for those chilly winter evenings) and satellite TV.

The village of Pinos del Valle boasts an excellent tapas bar along with 3 supermarkets, a bank, pharmacy and a bakery, all a short walk from the house.

Walking: there are a large number of walks in the valley, in and around the villages and across the hills. Some prefer to discover for themselves, some may opt for guided walks.Further excellent walking is available on the southern side of the range in the Alpujarra, including the famous GR7 route.

Granada is a fascinating, bustling city and can be reached by car in less than half an hour. The Alhambra Palace, built by the last Moorish rulers in Spain in the 13th and 14th centuries, dominates the centre and must be visited for its architecture, gardens, fountains and pools. Adjacent to the palace are the steep narrow streets of the Moorish Albaicin quarter of the city.

Beaches and water sports: the coast is 30 away down a spectacular main road. There are marinas at Motril and Marina del Este (between Almunecar and La Herradura), wide beaches at Salobrena, Almunecar and La Herradura.
So ideally situated it is possible to ski in the morning and relax on the beach in the afternoon.

Skiing: the resort of Sierra Nevada is one of the highest in Europe and provides a season beginning in early December and lasting until May. The journey up to the snow takes about 45 minutes on an excellent road; facilities are well organised. This year heavy snowfall has made for very good skiing. Golf in Granada or Motril.
