Property - Local Facilities

Casa Genil is a spacious, well-equipped house with its own garage parking for 3 cars. It is situated in the village of Pinos de Genil (named after the River Genil which runs though the heart of the village). This property is only 25 mins from the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort and 15 mins from Granada.

There are 3 good-sized bedrooms (2 with double beds and one with bunk beds), a spacious living/dining room with 2 sofas TV etc. The house also has a 20m2 patio which can be used for exterior dining in summer - with sun loungers, table and chairs and BBQ.

There is hot and cold air con, gas bottle central heating, plus a fireplace in the living room for atmosphere. Skis and boots etc can be conveniently stored in the 3 car garage (from which there is an interior staircase to the main part of the house).

There are plenty of pleasant bars and restaurants within walking distance in the village and lining the river. Also a small supermarket, bank, post office and bakery. Two hotels in the village have pools open to customers who buy a drink (the Hotel La Duquesa is the closest - almost opposite the house). There is an Aqua Park with slides and a wave pool in Cenes de la Vega about 5 minutes by car. Cenes also has more shops, some nice restaurants, DVD rental shop, pizza and kebab takeaways. Five minutes in the other direction will bring you to the nature reserve at Purche - which also has 2 nice restaurants. In Guejar Sierra, also 10 mins, there is kayaking on the lake in the summer.

This is a lovely base for visiting Granada and year-round walking, mountain biking and horse riding - a beautiful and tranquil place to spend a few days....
