This house is situated in the small, sleepy village of Saleres, one of the prettiest in the famously beautiful Lecrin Valley. It is newly built to a very high standard with contemporary comforts (and plumbing!), but retains the traditional feel of an Andalucian village house. Built over two floors it also enjoys plenty of outside space with both a sunny courtyard (with lovely pool) and a roof terrace with far reaching views of the valley and the snow-capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada. Casa Colmena has two bedrooms but can sleep up to six with the good quality sofa bed in the living room. It has satellite TV, DVD, open fire place, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and a lovely light and spacious living room with views of the valley. The house is surrounded by countryside and great walks. Saleres

The village of Saleres is picturesque, (one of the prettiest in the valley) nestling at the foot of a river valley, which is a great place to splash around on a summer's day. There is a lovely walk along the river, which is surrounded by orange and lemon orchards giving it a lush green appearance all year round. The centre of the village has an attractive church. Although the village does not have a shop (the closest five minutes drive away) it is visited by the baker's van and other small vendors daily for you to purchase fresh goods. It also has a market and one of the best tapas bars in the Valley - La Salerosa - providing excellent tapas, cocktails and sometimes live entertainment too...
