Vista del Valle was originally a village farmhouse located in the lower barrio of the traditional Spanish village of Pinos del Valle. The property has been tastefully renovated to a very high standard and the old farm property is now three casitas - of which one is occupied by the current owners and the other two are available as holiday rentals.
The property has a beautifully maintained patio and garden area with built in BBQ surrounding a large swimming pool. There are plenty of sun loungers, tables & chairs. Or if you prefer to escape the heat of the day - you can relax with a glass of something and good book in La Vista's lovely mirador opening onto views of the Valley.
Mountain bikes are available for rent if you wish to explore the surrounding countryside.
Pinos del Valle
The property is located in the village of Pinos del Valle, surrounded by orange, lemon and olive groves and overlooking the stunning Lecrin Valley. The village boasts 3 bars (excellent free tapas) 3 grocery stores, 2 pharmacies, bank and bakers. For those who enjoy walking and hiking many trails can be found in the area.

Activities
Further detailed information about walking routes can be found in the house - where you will find maps and a guide to the degree of challenge. The most spiritual walk can be seen from Vista del Valle - the 45 min hike up to the "Christ of the Shoe" a small chapel built by the villagers on top of the mountain overlooking the village (approx 940 meters above sea level).
Pinos Del Valle is also ideally situated for mountain bikeenthusiasts - either bring your own or rent one from the owners for a fee of 30 euros per day. Must be booked in advance.
Further afield
Access to surrounding areas is easy via the Granada-Motril motorway and you can be exploring Granada, visiting the Alhambra, lazing on the beach at Salobrena or in the mountains of the Alpujarras all within 30 minutes of leaving the house. You can also access golfing within 30 minutes or skiing in the Sierra Nevada in an hour or so. |
