La Hacienda is a traditional country house which has been beautifully renovated, with a 3-bedroomed house and 5 independent suites. The property enjoys gorgeous terraces and a large private swimming pool situated in several hectares of land surrounded by olive orchards with spectacular views. This beautiful estate is located between the two picturesque small towns of Alcaudete and Alcalá la Real and 1 hour from historic Granada.
The 3 bedroomed house:
Each spacious bedroom is furnished with a double bed (with an option of an extra bed if necessary). There is a full bathroom. The fully equipped and light-filled kitchen/diner opens onto the lovely central patio with marble fountain and spaces for relaxing. There is a cosy wood burning stove in the centre of the house and a living room with large fireplace for those cold days. Private terrace.
The Suites:
There are 5 luxury suites. The largest has 2 bedrooms (1 room with double bed and the other with twin beds). The remaining 4 suites all have 1 bedroom with double bed. All suites are luxurious decorated with marble and include en suite baths and balconies leading to private terraces.
The suites have the use of a large manorial-type kitchen-dining/living area (pictured below) for cooking, dining, or simply relaxing. The impressive dining table can seat up to 20 people and there is a big, comfortable sofa in front of a traditional fireplace and a large plasma screen television with satellite channels.
Both the 3 bedroomed house and the suites can be rented individually or together. The house as a whole would be ideal for larger groups or wedding parties.
Outdoors:
Guests may use all the outdoor facilities including the spacious terrace in the central patio, the large swimming pool, barbecue, the covered outdoor dining area which includes a traditional wood-burning oven, the bar area and gardens. There are fantastic views towards the south from the outdoor dining area and poolside terrace. The owners live in independent accommodation on the property. It is possible to rent the entire property.
Location:
The pretty town of Alcaudete is 15 minutes away by car and offers many services including an ample selection of bars and restaurants, supermarkets, banks, post office and 24-hour medical centre. There is a weekly market every Monday.The historic city of Alcalá la Real is also just 15 minutes away by car. There are a great number of interesting places to visit on day trips. Granada - 1 hour, La Subética National Park - 1 hour, Las Alpujarras - 1 hour 20 minutes, Sierra Nevada National Park - 1 hour 20 minutes, Córdoba - 1 hour 30 minutes, and Sevilla - 2 hours. Other visits: Coast/Beaches: The closest beaches (Salobreña/Motril) are about 1 hour 30 minutes away by car. Marbella and Puerto Banús are a couple hours away.
How to arrive:
Granada airport is 1 hour away by car. Málaga airport is 1 hour 45 minutes away by car. Owing the the rural position of this property, car hire is essential.
