Property - Local Facilities

Albuñuelas is set deep in the western end of the Lecrin Valley and is the gateway to the Sierra Albuñuelas. The village is embedded in olive and citrus groves, and the Sierra Albuñuelas is rich in springs and streams which give rise to numerous gorges dominated by Mediterranean pinewoods and many wild flowers, herbal and medicinal plants. Wild boar, the Spanish ibex, foxes and eagles may be seen here. Granada with its fabled Alhambra Palace, Las Alpujarras, the Sierra Nevada ski resort, Europe’s most southerly, and the beaches of Salobrena and Almunecar are all within easy reach.

Albuñuelas is located on the GR7 walking route, and for walkers, this area is a paradise providing a remarkable variety of landscape and walks ranging from the relaxed and gentle to strenuous hikes amongst the high peaks of the Sierra Nevada.

‘Fifty One’ is a characteristic spacious village house combining original features with modern comforts. From the mirador you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Rio Santo gorge and the Sierra Nevada. It is an ideal location for those who want to experience a traditional Andalusian village and enjoy the surrounding beauty and history.

Two double guest rooms are available on a B & B basis (one bedroom can be arranged as a twin if required). Each room has en suite shower facilities, toilet etc. Wireless broadband internet access is available.
