The picturesque Miller's Cottage is attached to an old Olive Mill. It is situated on edge of a sleepy Andalucian village in the beautiful Lecrin Valley and surrounded by its own orchard of oranges, figs and plums. The orchard is bounded on 1 side by the Rio Santo stream and on the other by olive groves climbing up the mountainside.

The swimming pool is raised and enclosed. It is in the middle of the orchard with plenty of shade, and plenty of sun for sun worshippers. There are 8 wooden sunbeds. On the terrace there are more chairs, and a large table for lunching and dining under the stars.

Thought to date back possibly as far as the 15th century, the old Mill ajacent to the cottage was actually two mills - one of which was used to make olive oil and the other flour. Originally it was water driven, but was converted to steam in about 1900. Some of the old machinery can still be seen in the orchard.

The Miller's Cottage is 35 mins from the historic old city of Granada (with the famous Alhambra Palace), about 35 mins from the Coast and 1 hour from the ski slopes in winter.

There are plenty of pleasant bars and restaurants in the surrounding villages and in the historic tree-lined plazas of nearby Granada.

This is also a lovely spot for year-round walking, mountain biking and horse riding - a beautiful and tranquil place to spend a few days....
